Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy applies to everyone who touches FreightCMD: fleet tenants and their staff, drivers, shipper clients, marketplace partners on FCMD Connect and anyone calling our API. It supplements the Terms of Service; where the Terms and this policy overlap, the stricter rule applies.

1. Freight that may not be moved through the platform

  • Narcotics, controlled substances and precursor chemicals without lawful authority.
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives and their components without the required licences.
  • Undeclared dangerous goods, or dangerous goods booked as ordinary cargo.
  • Counterfeit, smuggled or duty-evading goods, and goods of unlawful origin.
  • Live persons, human remains and protected wildlife or wildlife products.
  • Cash-equivalent bearer instruments moved to disguise the source of funds.

Bookings must describe the load honestly. Mis-declared freight is the single fastest way to lose platform access, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from Sri Lankan authorities.

2. Account and identity conduct

  • One identity per person. Do not share logins, and do not create accounts for others.
  • Do not impersonate a carrier, shipper, driver or FreightCMD staff member, and do not misrepresent insurance, licensing or vehicle capability.
  • Driver documents, vehicle registrations and revenue-licence records must be genuine and current.
  • Do not circumvent suspension, entitlement caps or branch limits by opening additional workspaces.

3. Payments and marketplace integrity

  • Do not move an FCMD Connect trip off-platform to avoid the platform fee once it has been matched here.
  • Do not submit bank-deposit slips for amounts other than the referenced amount, or reuse a slip across references.
  • Do not use stolen cards, test cards in production, or a card you are not authorised to use.
  • Do not manipulate ratings, quotes or fuel and COD reconciliation records, and do not post fictitious loads.

4. Platform, API and automation limits

  • API and automated booking access is rate limited per workspace. Do not attempt to exceed, parallelise around or scrape past those limits.
  • Do not probe, scan or load-test our infrastructure without written authorisation, and do not attempt to access another tenant's data.
  • Do not bulk-export driver, client or telematics data for resale, model training or any purpose outside operating your own fleet.
  • Do not upload malware, or content designed to break clients consuming the API or webhooks.

5. Location, tracking and driver privacy

  • GPS tracking is for dispatch, safety and proof of delivery during working assignments. Do not use it to monitor a driver outside their assignment window.
  • Do not republish live driver location to third parties outside a trip's participants.

6. Communications

  • SMS and email sent through the platform must relate to an actual trip, invoice, invitation or account event. No marketing blasts to numbers collected through the platform.
  • Abuse, harassment, threats and discriminatory conduct toward any user are prohibited.

7. Enforcement

  • Depending on severity we may warn, throttle, suspend a feature, suspend the workspace, or terminate access and report the matter.
  • We act immediately and without notice where there is risk to life, ongoing fraud, or a legal obligation to do so.
  • Suspension for a policy breach does not entitle you to a refund of the current subscription period.

8. Reporting a violation

Report suspected abuse to the contact address published in our Privacy Policy, including the workspace, trip reference and what you observed.
